Public Affairs Minor

Any thoughts on this minor for those of you who have completed the requirements or are in the process of completing the requirements.

I want to take 10A with Stoll in the Fall but I've heard a lot of mixed things about him. Who else teaches 10A?

Which classes would you recommend?

Also, the website strongly encourages students to take a lower division course in statistics and another in microeconomics.

I'm a Global Studies major and I took Geography 4 for my Markets elective prereq and I tested out of the stat requirement because I got a 5 on the AP test.

Should I take stat and econ 1 anyways or is it unnecessary?

anyone??

any feedback would be helpful

I’m doing a double minor in Pub Affairs and Poli Sci(the PS major more requirements and b/c of the overlap double minoring is easier). I know that PP10A is offered in the Winter again, but not the spring. I’ve heard Prof. Zegart is good, but I think she’s leaving for the Brookings Institution.

Also, when I asked her, the Public Affairs minor counselor told me that almost no one actually takes the lower div stats or microecon courses, though if you’re thinking of a career in Public Policy it wouldn’t hurt.
