should i be worried about not being able to declare? i heard there's an insane waitlist at the moment
i am a freshman and should finish prereqs by the end of next semester (F '10)

hmm, i don’t know if i should say you should be worried or not, but the sooner you talk to tony, the undergraduate adviser, the better.
i just went to talk to him today, and he said that there is waiting list of 501 people.

I’m really beginning to think that he might be lying just to discourage people from applying. I guess it’s a reasonable action because there are so many people interested but I don’t think it’s right. I just emailed him and he said that i was in the 310s on the waitlist.

I do have the option of declaring IB but I don’t really like biology so I don’t know what to do. I wish that I had taken the Math 1 series instead of 16 series so that I could at least change to MCB Biochem. :[

Try ISF (interdisciplinary field studies) - you could make your own major - a mix of public health/other courses you may be interested.

Any idea how many of the people on the list are really interested.
What I ma reading is that there may be may a lot of not really PH intended on the list.

Stly,
Can you please elaborate more on ISF?
Thanks
