Public Health...do APs waive prereqs?

If so, which ones?
Thanks!

Why not ask the department, since its web site only vaguely says that AP credit may be used but does not say which AP credit for which requirements?

Thanks, I definitely will after break! I just wanted to know if anyone out there had any information now since I don’t want to wait until the start of the semester to switch around my schedule. I’m already pretty late as it stands, lol…

Yes, I am sure you can use you some AP’s to fulfill the social science pre-reqs. You can use AP Gov and AP psych I believe…You may also use AP Calc as well for the math requirement. To be safe, check with the major advisor, Tony Soyka. If you need further resources about the major, be sure to join the Cal Undergraduate Public Health Coalition!

Steven:
Do you know if we can use “AP biology” score of 5 to waive “Biology 1B” (not much interested in science) . I know the following applies possibly for health management option:
AP econ score 5 (or econ 1)
AP Psychology score 5
AP Calculus BC score 5
Community college: Nutrition 10, Political science 4

I am not sure if you can wave Bio1b using AP Bio because part of the requirement to get into the major is that you need at least a B- in Bio 1b. I think you should email Tony, the major advisor, to ask about this.

I’ve been poking around the public health website and on the application it says that all bio courses have to be completed at berkeley.
