does anyone have any info on BU’s publuc health program/classes (i’m looking into it as a concentration), either from experience or word of mouth? much appreciated.

I was minoring in public health before I switched my major and no longer had time for it, but I hope I can still be helpful. BU doesn’t offer a major in public health, but you can minor in it. Sargent College and CAS both offer the minor, and I believe they differ slightly by one class, but I might be wrong. You can fulfill a lot of the classes by selecting classes offered by Sargent (undergraduate classes) or you can take classes at the School of Public Health, but those will be graduate level and typically offered at the medical campus. There is a shuttle that runs between the two campuses, but it’s not always reliable and the trip is about 30 minutes. If you’re trying to take classes at both campuses it can end up being kind of tricky to work out. Overall I think the minor is a good way to get some exposure to public health, especially if you think you might want to get a graduate degree in it. BU does offer a 5 year BA/MPH or BS/MPH. I don’t know very much about it other than you can apply for it either sophomore or junior year. I hope this somewhat helpful!
