Using AP credits to minor

I am going to be a freshman in the Health Studies/ Physical Therapy 6 year program in Sargent. I got my AP scores and got 4s on euro and english lit and a 3 on the calc AB, and by BU’s AP credit policy, i get 4 credits for math, 8 for humanities, and 8 for social science requirements. I am considering using those credits to minor in human physiology, which will only be an extra 3 classes(plus 2 others that I will take for my major).

Does anyone have any thoughts about this path. Am I not considering everything?

Also, is it worth getting the minor? My rationale is the following: my AP credits take care of some of my requirements, so I might as well take classes geared towards my potential career.

Does that seem logical?Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Yeah that minor would be great for what you wanna do. I’m not positive about AP’s and minors but I know if you wanna double major you can only have 2 overlapping classes, so you may only get to use 8 credits from AP’s and would have to take 4 classes rather than 3 for your minor. But then again I’m in CAS. Definitely talk to your advisor about it.

I checked and I would have to take 2 core classes and 3 others from a list. But, I can overlap 2 classes so I will only have to take 3 extra classes which my AP credit will allow me to do.
