<p>Is anyone considering a public health component to their biomedical graduate career? This is something I am strongly interested in as my field is microbial pathogenesis and modeling the spread of disease under various epidemiological conditions dovetails nicely with an understanding of how a microbe physically interacts with its host. I found that Northwestern has a PhD/MPH program that allows for this...Has anyone else seen anything like this? Does anyone have any experience creating a cross disciplinary background in a traditional graduate program?</p>
<p>I found that UPenn also has a certificate in public health to accompany a PhD in the biomedical sciences. Is nobody interested in this but me?</p>
