What’s the rigour of Purdue’s education (teaching) major? And what are some equivalent or better universities that offer good education courses?
I don’t understand why you concern rigorous of courses . Anywhere you teach, you have to pass Praxis 1 and Praxis 2 which are requirements to be a licensed teacher. I am the secondary HS teacher. If I want to teach in your state, I have to pass these test with the limited requirements from your state. Every state has their own standards. In CA, ED of CA uses C_BEST 10 years ago when I was there.
FL uses its own standards. Most of states use Praxis Test from ETS.
