Purdue for 12k or Case Western for 48k

Prices are roughly the cost for all 4 years.

I want to major in Math and something else, like Economics too.

Case Western has the higher rank, but 1 year there would be enough to cover all of Purdue’s cost.

I’d be able to Purdue out of pocket (or my parent’s pocket) since it is so cheap, but Case would require loans.

Is this a real question? If so I don’t understand why.

I suppose if you’re in high school the answer to the question might not be obvious. Anyway, if money is an issue, go to Purdue. The difference in rank isn’t that meaningful.

This one is easy - Purdue. CW is not worth taking out loans for.

As ^^ said, the difference in rank is not meaningful.

Purdue, hands down.

Can your mom and stepdad afford to pay for Purdue out of their $80k income? Did you get the noncustodial waiver for your dad or don’t you need it for Purdue? In August you said your mom thought you could pay your own way through school and was threatening to throw you out when you turn 18 over arguments about college. Have you worked those issues out? If I remember correctly, they’re not paying much/any for the colleges your sibling and step sibling are attending. Did your mom and stepdad actually say they’d pay for your college?

Purdue hands down.

@austinmshauri I think reality hit them. They kind of expect me to go to Purdue now, though.

Purdue!!!

It’s great if you can all agree on a school. Did they say they would pay for it or are they still expecting you to pay your own way?

@austinmshauri it’s so cheap it seems like that won’t be a concern. We haven’t discussed the specifics.
