Were trying to decide which university to attend for engineering; Purdue or WSU. Purdue has name recognition and is rated as a good school, WSU a little further down the line. Is there a real difference in the level of education or is it perceived? The cost of going out of state to Purdue is about twice the cost of WSU, is Purdue worth the extra money?

Ah you might want to ask this question in the Washington State University thread and not the University of Washington thread as WSU is not UW =)

Sorry about that.

I would say Purdue by far.
WSU is a good school however, I believe
Purdue is more strong in Engineering field.

I would say Purdue is worth extra money.

I don’t think it’s worth it. How about going to WSU and then transferring to UW? You’d save a ton of money, and I’m sure you’d like Washington a lot better than Indiana.

I would go to Purdue if you are deciding between WSU and Purdue.
