Purdue vs UIowa

So I just received my UIowa financial aid package and I i got a full ride scholarship. I was already set on going to Purdue because I never thought Iowa would give me aid because I’m an OOS applicant. Now I’m split in between and now I’m not sure where to go. I want to study biology and be premed. Purdue would be the obvious option since I live 10 minutes away from campus. But Iowa would be free and they have a great med school and hospital on campus.

Does anyone know which school has the better pre med advising? And does having access to a hospital/med school make a HUGE difference in a pre med’s experience?

If you can maintain the grades needed to keep that scholarship, save your money and go to U of Iowa. Med school will be horrifically expensive. Get your undergrad degree for as cheap as possible. Yes, having the medical school and hospital right on campus will make it much easier for you to get the job shadowing and medical volunteer experiences you need for med school admission.

I agree with the previous poster to go the most economic route as possible.

You live 10 minutes from Purdue. Time to stretch and grow. Go to Iowa!
