<p>My two required essays come in at around 600 and 1000 words apiece, and I'm feeling a little bit on the edge about going over the recommended lengths.</p>
<p>Also, one side question: what about essay titles?</p>
<p>Hi! I didn’t title my essays and I got in, so I don’t think that really matters. Do you feel like your essays are the right length to say what you want to say, without being repetitive/going off topic? If so, I would go for it. One of mine was 750 words, one was a little closer to 500.</p>
<p>My essays were about 800 for Why Uchicago and 900 for the extended prompt and I got in. So your length should be fine.</p>
<p>aLilac I applied EA and had the exact same fear. I wrote 1050 words for extended prompt and just about 1000 for my Why UChicago. I was accepted so don’t worry at all. </p>
