Put my Chance Anxiety to Rest? (Ohio State)

I applied to OSU on November 4th and I’m still in evaluation, so I’m terribly worried that if I haven’t made it in yet, I won’t.

I’ve read that if you’re good enough, they accept you within ten days of submitting, but it’s been over a month for me (I’ve also seen 10-12 weeks, but that’s usually accompanied by someone saying: “That doesn’t really happen, my Johnny got accepted the next time he drew breath!”) Am I fretting over nothing, or should I reevaluate in which basket I store my eggs? Thank you!

GPA: 3.57 unweighted, a little over 3.6 weighted

ACT: 29, 30 (I’ve only formally sent the latter, but I suppose they can still see the 29 on my transcript)

AP: Eng Lit and Comp (5)

I’m going for Zoology and have 5-7 EC’s focused on environmental volunteer work (including founding a science club and recycling program). I’ve also got 3-4 random well-rounded filler clubs like lgbt group and student council.

Honors math, science, and English classes - I’m taking AP Calc (AB) this year.

Bumping this thread, because I’m still kind of freaking out.

I’m still in high school, but I’d definitely say you have a chance!
Your ACT isn’t bad, but your GPA could use some work. However, your ECs seem particularly strong–plus, that seems like a unique passion, more so that simply “science” or “math,” you know? I think the ECs really make up for the slightly weaker academics (which are still good! just not stellar  ). Don’t stress about the time either; no one really knows for sure when any of this stuff will happen haha…
Good luck!!

Thank you so much!

DD16 has a 4.2 weighted GPA and 28 ACT and did not get into prenursing.

Update: My friend just got accepted with a 28 ACT, 4 AP Eng, 3.5 GPA, and less EC’s. He sent his app in a week or two after mine. His major is English.

Are you in state or out of state?

I’m in state.

And, actually, I’d like to say that I’ve been accepted today!
