Would it be appropriate to paste a photo at the bottom of my essay showing a theme in my essay? I wrote about revisiting childhood memories and I want to put a picture of me playing with my cousin.

i dont see how it would show up, unless you mail it in, but i’d think it would be inappropriate either way

I put a picture in mine. My essay was about a fundraiser I did for Haiti, so I included a picture of a Haitian boy eating the peanut butter donated through my fundraiser. If it’s appropriate then, I say, why not???
@haloshots- my picture shows up on the print preview, so I’m assuming it’ll show up on the actual application.

i’m planning on doing that too but on Commonapp it says the document can’t exceed 500 KB and the picture takes it up to 1200 KB :(

ihopeillgetin, you could decrease the resolution of the pic. It’ll reduce your file size.

Ok, so I didnt put a pic in my essay. Is that a bad thing? Will it hurt me a lot? I just wrote an essay and I think it turned out quite well. I chose the first topic about a person and so I easily could have pasted a pic, but I didn’t. Starting to get worried after reading this post…

Obviously you’ll get rejected because you didn’t put a picture in your essay.

On the other hand, if you paste a picture in your essay you’ll probably go over the word limit by 1100 words or so.

Catch-22, if you ask me. It’s actually a tricky puzzle that you must solve if you want to get into Princeton.

^LOL. @referee: I hope you’re kidding. If not, you made me smile anyway.

Thanks for the sarcasm, people! I was actually serious at the time, but now I feel like I’ll be okay. ^No, YOU made me smile.
