Quad Price- dorming expenses

Hi! I want to know the difference in the housing expenses for the two quads. I know that suite style will be more expensive than corridor style but I want to know the exact details. Can someone tell me that?

Also, I want to know how many students share a single bathroom in the H-Quad. I can't really figure it out; is it floor wise sharing or only a specific number of students share it?

Thank you!

You can find a list of our rates for dorming here: Campus Residences | Stony Brook University;

In corridor style, about 20-30 students share a bathroom, but the bathrooms have multiple shower stalls, toilet stalls, and sinks. Each wing shares one bathroom and is one gender. Some wings may have two small bathrooms, like Wagner in Roosevelt Quad, or Langmuir in H Quad has one larger bathroom.

Thank you, Megan just so much! You have been of immense help to me. I had so much trouble understanding the corridor style dorms and its sharing system. Do you mind answering my other questions as well? I have posted them on the website.

No problem! What website?

Megan

This website only! I have created some other threads as well so, if you are free then you could take some time to answer them as well, It would be really appreciated.

Also, I want to know…what will you recommend for me- the corridor style or the suite style dorms?
Thank you once again!

Megan, When do the freshman choose the building/suite/roommates?

@abusygirliam001 since there are a lot of threads on here, it is impossible for me to go through every single one to find them all. Feel free to email me at Megan.Hertz@stonybrook.edu, and I can also give my opinion on suite and corridor style.

@LoveMyPuppies freshmen will be able to select roommates after the beginning of May when undergraduate college assignments go out. Roommates must be in the same undergraduate college, since this refers to their quad, so you have to be in the same quad to house with each other. You do not choose the building, it is selected for you based on availability.
