Quadrangle Club

Wow. I can still get a better rate in South Loop or Chinatown.

@lilchaz Have you stayed yet? How was it etc.?

@momo2x2018 We ended up staying at the Palmer House instead. My DD wanted to stay where some of the other class of 2023 were staying that she met through the facebook group, so I canceled my reservation with the Quadrangle Club, and reserved the UChicago group rate at Palmer House. We used their shuttles to/from campus.

I walked by the Quadrangle Club while on campus, and it looked lovely from the outside, but I did not venture inside as I was in a hurry. Hopefully next time, I can arrange to stay there.

@lilchaz OK Thanks you :slight_smile:

Hi all.

Just a heads up on how the Quad club works. By default, Quad Club is open to certain members of the University of Chicago community, and its members who pay a membership fee. As a faculty member at UChicago, I would still have to pay for membership to the Quad Club (so that I can enjoy its benefits like access to rooms etc). Thankfully most academic departments at UChicago are members, so we can interview faculty candidates without using personal memberships to Quad Club.

It is by far the most convenient residence to campus (literally across the street from the main quad and the main library). The food at the Quad Club is excellent, but I’ve never personally seen any of the rooms at the Quad club.
