Qualify for HEOP CORNELL??

I am a junior who took only one ap and a few honor classes. Next year, I will take 3 aps and a few more honor classes. My average right now is a 92. My science regents are pretty low (80 and 70s).

I just wanna know if I would qualify or have a shot in getting into Cornell’s college of arts and science through HEOP.

Some infos:

average is 92 so far. My academic grades are pretty high. I also go to a decent high school.

My parents have been unemployed since January. My mom recently found a job, but it’s very little pay. Our family income should be as low as 10,000 a year.

My sat scores are very low. it’s 1070 out of 1600. But that was my first try. I will take it once more. So I guess my sat score is LOWW enough. (LOL)

I am chinese.

I heard from many people that my chance of getting in through HEOP lessens by 50% because Cornell probably wouldn’t want to accept dumb asians?

Please give me some opinions.

It is a shame that no one answered your question yet. It appears that only people who are non-asian gets the answers such as blacks/hispanics. Im sorry that i cant answer your question because i too dont know alot about the HEOP program. Its better to call the school or look through the other forum posts

just realized this thread is more than a year old

lol anyways,
