Hey CC, just had a question, as usual. How do you qualify for the National Merit Scholarship? I know you need a high PSAT score, but what does the score need to be exactly? And does having all A's effect if you qualify or not? What if you have all C's and still get a 2400 on the PSAT? thanks.

Yes 10char

You need a certain PSAT score to become a semifinalist. You can check out some of hte preivous cutoffs here: [National Merit Scholarships](http://www.collegeplanningsimplified.com/NationalMerit.html) These scores generally fluctuate by 0-1 points per year so are pretty consistent.

Thank you!

In addition to that, to qualify for the NMF scholarship you should show good grades in rigorous classes

And you have to write an essay and have a principal rec

To be a finalist dont you have to submit an SAT score that validates your PSAT score?
