Qualities of an engineer

What are some qualities of an engineer?

How does one know that engineering is for them?

Any advice for prospective engineering students?

High IQ, a bit OCD, plus a total lack of a sense of humor. Average engineer will need an IQ of at least 120. A good engineer usually will score around 130+. The really exceptional ones have over 180. But you will do well if you are around 140 to 150.

^ Take this. Get INTJ. Be anti-to-moderate social. You in.

Can’t tell if serious…

Just to be safe, none of this is true. IQ is essentially a meaningless statistic, you don’t need to have a mental illness like OCD and pretty much all of us are basically normal people and have a sense of humor.

Really, the only real indicators is that you are interested in the kind of things that engineers do and you are reasonably good at math. If you have that going for you, then you ought to be fine. Having a good bit of self motivation is a real plus as well since it is typically a lot of work.

We engineers tend to be very smart, good looking and very modest!
