I looked online at my app status and it said that they hadn’t received my quarter grades. I’m applying RD, do I even need to send them first quarter grades? I thought I just had to the mid-year report?

Not knowing exactly Amherst's policy on this, I would think that your first quarter grades (if your school is on the quarter system) would be just as necessary as your mid-year. If your school is on the semester system, and the semesters are arbitrarily divided into quarters, then I have no idea why the school would want them.

Thinking back, I remember having to send my quarter grades to Amherst and ONLY Amherst. So yes, it is a school which requires them in ADDITION to mid-year grades come Jan/Feb.

Wait, I'm confused on this. Our school gives quarter grades obviously, but the only thing that shows up on my official transcript is the semester grade. Since I'm the only one who has an actual record of them, how do I send quarter grades?

The school keeps a copy of your report card. Just ask the registrar's office to send them a copy of it.

wait so we do need to send quarter grades?

the report card that our school has in the registrar's office does not have quarter grades...

Doesn't your report card have each 6 or nine week's grades on it? If you don't have quarter grades, just send what you have. Each school is different.
