<p>Do the grades you get during a quarter (half of a semester) matter to get into college? Because each quarter is 40% of a semester grade. And then the final is 20%. Do colleges look at quarters?</p>

<p>Colleges see your transcript. On the transcript at my school, and presumably most other schools, there is only the final grade. So while the quarter is important because of its influence on your grade, colleges do not see every individual quarter grade.</p>
<p>Depends on what’s on your school’s transcript…I know my school just does semester grades, but some have both quarter and semester grade.</p>
<p>Well does your school report quarter or semester grades on your transcript? Mine does semesters. We get mid term grades, but those don’t reflect our final grade or go on our transcript. So whatever grades are reported on transcripts/report cards are the ones that your potential college will look at.</p>
