I'm a queer high school senior who really loved Pomona when I vistited over the summer, and the campus was fairly empty. I'm wondering what life is like for queer students at Pomona and at the Claremont Colleges in general.

I got the sense that it’s very tolerant–I came during Coming Out week, and there were “I Support Gay Rights” signs on almost every door. However, small co-ed schools by default have small queer populations, and all the lesbians I talked to at Pomona said they went to Scripps for girls. Not sure what guys do.

One of my son’s’ Freshman Sponsors was gay. He was very personable and seemed to be liked by everyone.
It’s a very socially inclusive campus.
