Hello everyone, I recently just received an email stating that I was invited to apply for the QuestBridge National College Match program in August. Looking over the organization and the program itself, I decided that I would apply when the application is available. I noticed that the essay topics were posted and took the initiative by beginning to work on my essays, but I had a few concerns. How does QuestBridge want the essays to be worded? Would they prefer a more formal approach to the topics, or would they prefer an less-formal, personal essay? I came up with what I believe to be a strong introduction, but I'm afraid that it may be too pretentious or that it's too formal. If anyone could give me an idea of what approach to take, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The letter from the president of Questbridge, on the website, is full of great information for any college student on how to approach those four years. It is worth reading just for that. However, if you read it with an eye toward what qualities as a student and as a person you may have that mesh with Questbridge’s vision, it will help you, and you can make sure that your essays bring out those qualities in yourself.
