Questbridge and Common app?

May I start the common app and also submit the Questbridge National college Match?

I’m not too sure how this works. Also, do I have to apply early decision for the Questbridge schools?

You can work on them simultaneously. Questbridge will let you know where you are in their process. If you are matched, you will have to apply early (ED/SCEA)

Yes, you can open and start your common application, you need to in case you are not selected as a QB finalist.

But to answer your basic question, if you are selected as a finalist you have a choice:

  1. Just apply regularly to college like any other student ED/EA/RD and list your award as a Questbridge finalist

OR

  1. Participate in QB College Match. List up to 8 colleges binding. If you are matched, you go to your highest ranked pick. You can't apply ED anywhere, the match is already an ED commitment, but you can also apply RD to any schools you want if you are not matched.
