Is there anyone who became a finalist/got matched through Questbridge but was not selected as a college prep scholar?
@applesandwich This girl from last year’s thread wasn’t selected as a CP scholar, but got matched to Grinnell. I forgot her username.
Also, QB picks around 3k CPS but close to 5k Finalists so yes you can still get picked as a finalist if you have not been chosen as a CPS.
@OHMomof2 I was more so clarifying that Asians are not a URM, especially for QB, nothing more.

@wypiposuck___ I was a Questbridge finalist and wasn’t matched during the NCM phase. For regular decision, I applied to 19 colleges/universities through QB and was rejected from 18, waitlisted at one. So no, just because you are a finalist does not mean you will get into a partner school. As a matter of fact, in 2015 about half of all QB finalists were accepted to a partner school, meaning the other 50% of finalists were denied admissions from all the schools they might have applied to. I do doubt, however, that there are many people who applied to as many schools as I did (27 in total if including non-QB schools I applied to as well), so I’m probably a rare case of someone who “bit off more than I could chew.” Anyways, just thought I’d put that out there so people won’t mistakenly believe QB is some kind of guaranteed safety ticket into a top university.

Btw, everyone, I just sent in my RSVP saying that I wasn’t going to the Pomona Conference (:c), and their email back to me included this line:
“don’t worry — we will provide you with all of the essential information from the conferences later this summer.”
Just wanted to reassure everyone who’s in the same boat and thought they’d miss out on info!

I can’t go to the Pomona conference either so glad I’m not missing out the info. Whew… 
So, I applied to the Summer Science Program, and I checked my portal, and it said “admitted.”
However, I haven’t heard anything about it from Questbridge. Is this just a false flag?

UPDATE: I JUST GOT A CALL FROM QB. I GOT INTO THE SSP!!!
