I know this is a long post, and I would really appreciate any sort of feedback regardless of how harsh/blunt you may be. Thanks again!

You have a good shot–it’s not as selective as many people may think. I got denied from it, but most of the people in my school that applied got it. I was more qualified than a few of the people in terms of academics, extracurriculars, essays, etc–what set me apart was my income. I made 61k, which was very close to the cutoff, so I didn’t get it. You make 30k so you have a very good shot. There are some finalists who wrote poor essays or had 25 ACTs, so you’ll be fine.

You didn’t specify what colleges you will be applying for. The chance varies by colleges both if and if not you are not a questbridge finalist. Some colleges take into consideration of that you are the finalist, and some others don’t. For example, University of Virginia likes questbridge finalists, so applying to there may raise the chances of your being accepted, though your future GPA should back you up as well.

@sumuzu cool! Do you think I’m a competitive applicant? Because I’ve been looking through past qb threads and I don’t think I’m very competitive
@HardOREasy oh I was just asking if I would become a finalist. However if I do become a finalist, I’m not sure how I’ll rank colleges yet! What do you think of my chances at finalist and college prep scholar?

Also, does my older sister attending college change anything? Does that increase my chances with qb, or financial aid in general? Thanks
