Do I have a better chance of being accepted into Rice if they are my first choice and im a quest bridge finalist?
I go to a charter school in Utah called Nuames (Northern Utah Academy of Math Engineering and Science) and i’m 80th out of 250 students. We used to have a lot more (325) but since our program is quite rigorous students who do badly drop out and return to the school they’re zoned for.
I have a 3.85 unweighted gpa but I’ve taken enough college classes at my local university (weber state university) to earn my associates degree this spring (i’ll graduate with high honors in april) and I’ll have taken 5 years of math upon graduating (idk if that’s something worth mentioning)
My Act is a 29 (which isn’t very good) and my chosen major is architecture
I’m a member of our national honor society and MUN club.
I’m also a ballet dancer, and volunteer our local library and local hospice and was a camp counselor/counselor in training my last 2 summers.
I absolutely love rice and really hope to get in even though my stats aren’t the best.
Looked so good until bummed out by that act score. You’re screwed buddy. But that’s good 4 me, less competition LMAO.
I’m totally joking you’re application looks really well rounded and scores don’t even matter that much
Also I recently had an off campus interview with an ambassador of Rice and she seemed to really like me! don’t know if that’ll help my chances at all lol
Sending best wishes to you amberdr00. However…you are obviously motivated and talented and you will do well wherever you end up. As a QB finalist you certainly have a good chance at many fine schools. I hope you come back to let us know how it is going. Best of luck!
