QuestBridge

I am not sure if I should be using Questbridge or not since I would really like the opportunity of applying to several colleges that are usually ED (mainly the liberal arts colleges), but my SAT scores are a bit low (2090) and I've only taken two SAT II's (with one of them being Math I). I was planning to take SAT I again in October to improve my score and my chances for ED for Swarthmore, but I don't think that's possible if I use Questbridge. I also heard that Questbridge may even lower your chances at admissions, because you are seen in a certain light, is that true? On the other hand, I'm not exactly all that confident about getting into Swarthmore (esp. since I am not too keen on their essay topic) and would have liked the back ups that the Questbridge option would leave me (because you would simultaneously apply to a number of others).

Should I go through Questbridge? If I don't get into any colleges for the early EA/ED, can I still go through Questbridge for the regular decisions, or do I have to choose from the beginning?

To specify the second question, I meant whether or not you can apply again to the colleges you applied for for ED/EA and if you can send in more information (like new SAT scores and such)?

questbridge actually makes them like you more....

You can apply for Questbridge, but the application deadline is September 30th. That does not leave you much time, I'm not exactly sure, but required is something like one 800 word essay, two or three 500 word essays, many short answers, plus your GC and two rec's from teachers, and they all have to be fax by 9/30. You could still apply ED for Swarthmore IF you do not become a finalist. You will be notified of your finalist standing by Oct. 26th,

Not to mention some statement of income, the entire application that explains everything, score reports from your counselor, etc.
