I have a very good essay that I want to use for question three the problem is it is 1,000 words long I can try to take off like 300 words, but it would still be over the 500 limit. Is this alright? Anyone else use essays that are over the limit?

you mean the personal statement? i think just make sure your language is concise, take away any redundant words or phrases, but don't compromise on the content. if the end product is still 1000 words then let it be... So long as the essay doesn't sound draggy i believe admission officers are fine with it. Well, I got in with a 900 word essay last year, if that's any reassurance.

Thank you. Yes that is a reassurance.

i think you can only fit 3,500 characters in the online form, so i guess that kind of restricts you.

Mine is 614 words, but 3270 characters... which is weird because if I were applying on paper it'd be over the 'limit' but online it fits under the limit.
