Question - 9th grader applying for 9th Grade at a Prep school

<p>Are the SSAT scores compared against the SSATs for entering 9th graders? (8th graders and any 9th graders who are repeating 9th grade) </p>

<p>Also, how do the SSAT scorers know ? Do you fill out the grade you will be entering prior to taking the SSAT ?</p>

<p>Yes, most schools will, but the sheet you get back will show you against 10th graders, so you will have to raise it a little. Good luck!</p>

<p>I THINK that the SSAT form asks you to state what grade you are in currently. So your scores will be in comparison to other 9th graders, even if you are planning on repeating. I’m not 100% sure about this however, so you should probably call and ask.</p>
