Check with your guidance counselor. Bc is the pre-req for MV like precalculus is the pre-req for Calculus. I don’t see how it’s possible to take both at the same time.
@ucbalumnus : ?
Normally, multivariable calculus has a prerequisite or college calculus 2 or high school calculus BC. However, a lightweight version in high school (particularly one that takes a year instead of a semester like in college) may get by with using only calculus 1 / AB material at the beginning of the course.
myos, people at my school skip precalc if they have above a 96 in honors trig. plus, I know three seniors who take calc bc and multi at the same time, along with physics c. one of the seniors who do this even takes linear alg / ordinary DE’s.
uc, I dunno dude, my school website lists calc bc as a corequisite of both linear and multi.
^ your school’s situation is not normal but I guess they make it work.
It wouldn’t matter for linear algebra (not the same branch of math) but I suppose they found a way to reach multivariate without series.
