Question about Analytical Writing Placement Examination

I know I will pass the AP English Literature exam, but I won't be able to fulfill this requirement until the May test. If I don't take the Analytical Writing Placement test, but pass the AP, will I be okay (registering for classes, etc)? Anyone have experience with this? THANKS

Well, there's a test in Sept., so I assume that's there for people who may be taking the AP exam but end up not passing it. So I doubt it would influence it at all...and if you don't pass (just in case) you can always take the one in Sept.

What exactly is the Analytical Writing Placement Examination? What happens if you don't do well? I feel confident in my writing skills, but not as much when I'm timed.

You can't get kicked out or anything. It's just for placement (hence the name). You either take the pre-intro writing class or the intro writing class fresh year, and this decides which one you take.

arg....I'm worried now...I'm in English AP but I'm not the best writer under a time limit...grrr

I'm not in AP. It's funny actually-I was the only one recommended to take it who chose not to-and now the English teachers are mad at me. Hehe.

so who is not taking the placement test and opting out for the ap? i think i'll email them to see what the consequences would be...
