Hi, I'm taking Chem 6A this quarter, but I already got credit by getting 4 on AP Chem Exam. I have a friend at SD who told me that my grade from Chem 6A is factored into my college GPA. Is it true?

Unless you are taking it Pass Fail....you are registered for the course and a grade will be assigned. IF as you say you already got degree credit you certainly must be taking/paying for this course as an easy boost to your GPA. NO?

Yeah. But also my friend told me that it's good to take Chem 6A to review some materials and also some med schools require a year of chem.

I asked my academic counselor, and she told me that it doesnt go into my gpa since I get no credit for it. But she seemed unsure.Any help?

Academic policy on grading and credit is online. Did you look up the policy for yourself? If you get no credit then why would you not take the course PF? Basically why are you taking it if you got credit via testing out and no GPA bump will occur? Drop add is my thought.

I just want to know if my grade from Chem6A is counted toward my gpa or not.

AP Credits do not factor into GPA, but you get the credit.

If you already have the credit for Chem 6A from AP, it doesn't factor in to the GPA I believe, since you are taking the class twice.

Shi t, that what should I do? Taking 6B? or get no credit and take it anyway. People are telling me its better for medical school to start from 6A, but I have no idea..

If you already know what is in 6A, then you should just take 6B. There is no default requirement for each medical school. Some of them alter based on AP Credit. I believe UCSF, for example, only requires one semester (two quarters) of general chemistry if you got AP Credit. I would check their website though.
