Is there anyone out here that was accepted into the Brown PLME program? I am going to apply this year, but I was wondering what kind of stats I need in order to stand a good chance. Any good advice you can give me?

I heard that PLME doesn’t place an emphasis on SAT scores, and instead values essays, recs, and extracurriculars related to health sci/medicine-is this true?

Thank you

p.s. if you applied and got rejected/was waitlisted/accepted, could you please post your stats? This would be VERY useful for this year’s new applicants (: thanks

there is a combined med section on CC. I have seen others “stats” and while PLME seems to place more emphasis on EC’s, essays, etc-it is mainly bc a LOT of candidates who apply already have teh test scores sat>2200 and act 33/34 or greater. If you have below these scores, your chances of being accepted to brown will decrease-and you need to get into brown to get into PLME

I see… well, my SAT is over 2000 right now, but it’s not over 2200. However, I am taking it next week (Oct 9th), and I actually studied this time so hopefully it’ll be over 2200 Brown takes the best of each SECTION, regardless of test date, right?

My ECs are good, so that’ll hopefully increase my chances.
