Question about Cal State Universities and their service areas

<p>From what I know, most Cal States favor those in the surrounding service area. However, is it determined by where you live or by where you went to community college (for transferring)? The reason I ask is because I went to a community college in a nearby county (San Bernardino) and I wish to go to CSU Long Beach. I am moving near Long Beach to live with my mom by the end of the year/beginning of next year (she already lives there). Will they see my address or my community college's address during the admission process?</p>

<p>I do not plan to try for any of the impacted majors.</p>
