Question about changing major??

<p>Hi! I know this may sound kinda stupid, but I have no older siblings or close older friends to ask about this...</p>

<p>Okay, let's say that I applied for art or history as major and got accepted to the college I want to go.... but through some works/internships over the summer, I realized that art/history is not for me and want to change my major to more competitive and irrelevant fields like... engineering or pre-med. Will changing major/decision over the summer cause any trouble or suspicion? For example, will they think that I applied with less competitive major to increase my chance of acceptance or something? (one of my told me this...) Because I honestly want to do both art and engineering, yet still not sure if art is truly for me and want to decide with the summer volunteer in art field. Help!</p>

<p>I did the same thing. I applied for psychology, changed my mind, sent them an email saying i wanted to switch to communications and it was done the next day. It may not be this easy if the one you want is impacted, but dont worry about asking, so many people switch.</p>
