So for the summer of my freshman/sophomore year I took classes at the local community college (like General Psychology) not for requirements or anything but more because I didn't have anything else to do during the summer. Would this qualify as taking college courses for credit on the commonapp? I already submitted my apps and didn't report it on there, but would it be OK if I just sent in the transcript and it didn't show on the application itself? If not, is it possible for me to call them or something to have it changed. Finally, is there a deadline for sending in transcripts from community colleges? Because right now it's winter break, and I think the CC is closed at this time, and by the time it's open it will be past the application deadline.

I do not know the requirements of the specific school you are applying to and all I can suggest is that you call them as soon as they are open again. You did take a college course for credit, but as you were a hs student, it’s a gray area as to how the college actually treats the credit. You needed to declare that you attended a college and the best you can do is talk to the college you applied to and inform them of this fact. If you did well in the college classes, all the better.

Yea I got A’s in all of them, they were easy, so I’m not trying to hide anything. I just don’t want them to think I “misrepresented” myself by not sending them my transcripts and thus meriting a rescind or other consequences. Does anyone else know more about this? BTW the schools I’m applying to are some UC’s, and some Ivies like Penn, Columbia, Cornell, etc.

Contact the universities in question and explain that you made a bona fide mistake. I’m sure this happens a lot. Admission of error is better than them finding out later and rescinding admission.
