Sooo say I was to get "kicked out of" (sounds so harsh) NHS for not completing the requirements...would it really be that big of a deal (aka in getting rescinded/a warning from Emory). I mean...I plan on getting a job & stuff, NHS is just so boring.....

I'm not sure what NHS is, but I'm assuming it's just another EC? I'm a bit in the same boat. I started this school year in 3 clubs, now I'm in none. All they did was have a dozen meetings talking about meaningless crap, and did very little constructive. I put all 3 on my Emory app, but I really doubt Emory would have some way of knowing I quit, nor would they care.

It's not like Emory accepts solely on the fact you were in NHS.

ok...it's National Honor Society btw...sooo pretty much just a meaningless EC

I think it depended on your level of involvement anyway...I mean, if they found out and you explained, it should be alright if you were just a wee little person in NHS. On the other hand, if you'd acheieved a lot of things and held officer positions (yeah I didn't even bother applying, so I woulnd't know), it might make a difference for you to be kicked out.
