I m wondering for Cornell's need-blind policy, even though your decision is in no way related to your financial aid, for non-U.S applicants (Canadians)who are eligible for need-blind FA and asking basically for a full ride, usually what happens is they get accepted but get less aid than demonstrated need?

After Cornell calculates your personal/family contribution, any demonstrated financial need should be covered 100% for U.S., Canadian and Mexican citizens.

check out the prospective student FAQ on finaid.cornell.edu

but one of my friend's situation is that her family's income s low enough to get lots of aid.but she ended up getting accepted with no FA.she is also canadian permanent resident.can you explain how this works?

I'm not sure how to explain it....maybe she submitted her forms late or incomplete. I only go by what the site says....but every situation is different
