Hello, everyone!
Today I got an email from CSUF stating that I have been accepted on the nursing waitlist. The email specifically states that
“The Nursing program will waitlist the top qualified applicants. Admission will be offered to the top students from the waitlist pool.”
Does this mean that CSUF doesn’t directly accept nursing majors (meaning that the only way to get into CSUF nursing is to be accepted off of a waitlist)?
I’m sorry if this is a dumb question. Thanks!
CSUF will place all eligible applicants on the Waitlist for Nursing. You then have to accept the waitlist for consideration of admission. CSUF will then make a final decision and accept applicants from that waitlist for Direct Admit admission.
Thanks Gumbymom
If I accept to be places on the waitlist and later get accepted, does that mean I have to ultimately attend CSUF? Thank you.
If you are accepted off the waitlist, you can still decline admission. The waitlist is not binding.
Thanks for the info. My daughter got the waitlist letter email today. She was curious how it works. This site has a lot of info. Based on last years posts is it safe to assume the waitlist will get cleared out in early May?
For Nursing, the waitlist will remain in effect until all spots are filled so it could be until May or earlier. It will depend upon when accepted applicants enroll.
Gotcha, thanks
Please share here if anybody gets chosen from the waitlist. With stats please. My S got waitlisted too.
Anyone else notice at the very bottom of the portal there is a new box with my applications and there are three choices
incomplete, complete, and admitted?
