Hey guys!
I had a question about the CSUs. I’m trying to calculate my eligibility index with the ACT. Does anybody know how that works? I know I’m doing something wrong because whenever I convert my ACT scores into SAT scores and plug it into the eligibility index, my EL is way higher than when I just multiply my ACT score by ten and my gpa by 200.
If you want to use your ACT score in the calculation, it is:
(CSU GPA capped weighted x 200) + (ACT composite x 10)
If you want to convert your ACT to the SAT, then use this table: https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/pdf/guide-2018-act-sat-concordance.pdf
The SAT calculation is (CSU GPA capped weighted x 800) + (SAT Math + EBRW)
ACT EI and SAT EI are on different scales so you will have completely different numbers.
For example a CSU GPA of 4.0 and ACT of 31 would be (4.0x200) + (31x10)=1110
If you convert the ACT to SAT (1400), then you get (4.0 x800)+ (1400)= 4600
