If a guidance counselor nominates a student for the Danforth Scholarship, may that student apply for any other academic scholarships? I know that the application to the other academic scholarships is limited to one for school-specific scholarships, but I am unsure how the Danforth Scholarship plays into that. Thanks for the help.

Nomination for the Danforth will not disqualify you from anything. It is very competitive: many people apply for it, since it's basically the only merit-based scholarship without significant rules on "eligibility." It's definitely worth applying for, though.

The Ervin & Rodriguez are very similair in the selection process (both on the WashU website). Both offer a larger number of scholarships every year and also offer an annual stipend of $2,500 in addition to either full or half tuition.
