<p>I know they said that deferral will not adversely affect one's chances at getting admitted RD, but they also say only 10% of deferred applicants get in, compared to around 21% overall. How does that make sense?</p>
<p>It’s because since Gtown does not reject anyone, those who would have been rejected in the EA round are put into the RD round then rejected. This makes the acceptance rate lower since total number of EA deferrals seem higher and those who would have been rejected PLUS those that are NEARLY qualified are rejected all at once.</p>
