Question about eating pancakes at Pamela's

We're going to be in Pittsburgh next weekend for the Honors' Students Admitted Day program and definitely want to try to get pancakes at Pamela's! I have two questions: What is the line like on Saturday morning to get into the Oakland restaurant around 8am or so? Also, can we order pancakes at Pamela's at lunch or dinner time if it's too crowded on Saturday morning? Thanks!

I’m not sure the answers to your question but I want to add that (at least at the Strip District location), they do not take credit cards. This may be different in Oakland, but be warned to have enough cash just in case. Maybe someone can confirm as it’s been a year since I’ve been there.

Ate at Pamela’s in Oakland this morning around 9:00 am. Waited about 2 minutes but by the time we left about 10 people were waiting. Correct that it is CASH only. Dinner isn’t an option as they are only open to 4 or so. The pancakes can described as a thick crepe or a thin pancake. Quite delicious especially the one laced with strawberries and whipped cream.

Thanks, bluejay. Looks like we’ll probably try to eat at the Pamela’s in the Strip area on Saturday morning. I’ve got my eye on the pancakes/crepes with walnuts, bananas, and whipped cream!

We ate there during the summer when we visited (Sunday morning). We waited around an hour!
