On the extracurriculars section of the app, I was only able to list my extracurriculars from high school. My PS was the only place where I was able to mention the extracurriculars I did in college. Was this true for everyone else?
Thank you!

You should have listed your ECs in college first - but it’s probably not a big deal, honestly. What’s your GPA, and where did you apply?
@goldencub
Wait, what do you mean college first?
My gpa is 3.64. Philosophy major. UCLA, UCB, UCSD, UCSB (accepted), UCI, UCD.
I remember that the extracurricular activities section had boxes where you would check the years in which you engaged in the ECs. For me, it seemed like the only years to check off were 9,10,11,12
@goldencub WTF! I just made another account just to check. Now I see that you can list “after 12th” as an option. WTF!!!
What should I do? Should I contact admissions?
I would contact admissions. You’re borderline for UCB and UCLA, in my opinion - good ECs in college may help you out.
Edit: Also, the fact that your PS talks about extracurriculars in college may be good reason to contact the schools (namely UCB and UCLA, as both schools really care about the PS) to list your ECs for clarification. It can only help you. I’d do it (but I know they say minor changes in ECs probably won’t affect your application at all, so take this with a grain of salt - but yeah, I’d contact them.)
@JacobfromCA
listen to golden cub, he probably knows more than me about this
@goldencub Thank you. Man, I really hope there is a way they can change this. Will they consider me to be an inept person and reject me because they believe that I can’t fill out a form correctly (honestly, I don’t remember there being an “after 12th grade” option – there must’ve been an error on the app)?
I mentioned my EC in my PS, btw. (although I’m not sure if this would even matter)
Geesh, this is really bad.
@goldencub Hey, how would you suggest that I contact them? Should I call the admissions office?
“Will they consider me to be…”
Nope. Everybody makes mistakes. Everybody has those days.
What is the EC, out of curiosity? Like a leadership position or something? Also, if you have a job, you can list that too.
But yeah, again, email them - it’s almost April. I think they take up to two weeks to respond / process your request or information, so… yeah. Do it tomorrow.
Edit: Er, you should be able to email them. I don’t know the email - check your portals maybe?
@goldencub I just sent an email to ucinfo. It’s just participation in philosophy club. Do you know their emails? Or should I call them?
@goldencub Do UCLA and UCB’s admissions offices have emails? Or should I call them about it?
http://admissions.berkeley.edu/ContactUs - here’s Berkeley. I found this through clicking “Contact Us” on the MAP@Berkeley portal, but you could probably find contact information for the other schools through Google. Good luck.
@goldencub Thank you so much!!!
