Question about ELC applications.

Can anyone please tell me if i need to select a major in order to be accepted through ELC? I am applying to UCI and i recieved my ELC papers a few months back, however i am still undecided/undeclared. So does being undecided/undeclared hurt my chances of entry or does elc still work on that "major" ?

thank you

The majors are listed on the on-line elc application, including undecided.

No, sud. As an ELC'er, you will not be hurt by putting down "undeclared" or "undecided." You've already met the cut by being ELC; they're not going to decline you based on an undeclared major. However, it would help to indicate possible academic interests current and/or future & what appeals to you about a U.C. education & its opportunities. (Elsewhere in the app. you can indicate what you might be interested in based on your current academic strengths, if there's a chance for that.) No big deal about nonspecificity.
