Hey so I have a Question. I have been invited to speak at a couple of TEDX Events. How big of a factor will this play in admissions? Thanks in advance.

What do you think Sanjay? Surely you already have an opinion.

To be honest, this wasn’t a post to brag or anything like that. I really would honestly like to know about this from the community. My opinion, I guess, would be that it would help but I wanted to know how big of a help it would be, how much of a differentiating factor? I really am genuine here!!!

bump? anybody?

It doesn’t hurt, but don’t think that any special EC will put you over the top. I know an Intel semi finalist who was rejected from two Ivies but accepted to a third. Create yourself as a whole person and look for a good fit.

thank you. :). anyone else?

bumpppppp?

I think it would probably depend on the topic of the talk. If this talk is about a passion of yours and you integrate it into maybe one of your essays I can see it having a very positive impact on your chances, but otherwise not much.

Is your name really Sanjay or do you just like the tv show Sanjay and Craig?

^Sanjay is a conventional Indian name, just like the name Joe or John is orthodox in the US.

Hello, I am doing extracurricular, one stream of them are: Memory Improvement clubs, How to be a mnemonic sessions. Do you think that help a bit in application process?
