Okay, so for 3 years now I've been a part of Colorguard at my school. But, I'm really tired of doing it and I'm not passionate about it anymore. If I don't do it Senior year, will that badly hurt my college applications? I plan to take dance classes next year (which was the part of Colorguard I always really enjoyed anyways), but I'm still worried.

Should I even include Colorguard in my applications or should I leave it out?

You’re seriously overthinking this. Drop the EC if it’s bothersome. List the EC since it depicts your hard work. Very very few colleges even *consider any *ECs in evaluating applicants at all. The vast majority of colleges admit students solely based on GPA, transcript and test scores. Only the tippy top ones use them to somewhat distinguish super high achievers from one another.

Agree with T26E4. And assuming you are applying to selective schools, there is nothing wrong in pointing out that your experience in Colorguard lead to a deeper interest in dance, which you are now pursuing. And who knows where dance will lead you either personally or professionally? It’s a journey. As long as you can tell your story coherently, you are fine.
