Question about Financial Aid and Waitlist

Hey guys,

I got waitlisted today, and I’m really torn as to whether or not I want to put my name on the list.

Financial aid is really big for me, I need a lot of it. My EFC is 849 and my dad pretty much refuses to pay any more than 6K a year for me. I need at least 35K in school grants to really consider a school to be financially feasible.

If I did put my name on the wait list, would I even have a chance at BC giving me this sort of money? I know they calculate awards after you get in off the list, so wouldn’t there be very little aid money left for me?

Also, will I get the award before I need to accept or deny the waitlist offer? Because there’s no way I could accept an admission offer without seeing the financial aid package first.

Thanks in advance for answering my questions!

You will have a few days to accept/reject any WL offer and yes, any finaid package would be available so you could make your decision…

Thanks!

Bump, anyone else?
