I have my orientation in about a week and im trying to find courses i want before then, so itl be easier when im there to make my class schedule. However, all i found was that “catalog” which i didn’t really even know what i was looking at. So, is there an easy way to find classes that i can take for freshman year at Davis? or should i just wait for orientation to find everything. My major is NPB.

Class search tool: https://registrar.ucdavis.edu/courses/search/index.cfm

Your orientation leader will help with specifics, but that allows you to see what’s available and how many seats are open.

IDK the problem, i keep using that search tool to find courses and it keeps saying no classes found within the search parameters…maybe because i don’t know what class im searching for? idk…

Exactly how are you searching for the courses?

What parameters did you put in? It could be that the class isn’t offered this coming fall (if putting in a specific class), or your parameters don’t match up with what you’re trying to find. The second one could be for a variety of specific reasons in and of itself, depending on the parameters used.

2013, fall quarter.
Subject area, NPB
Open, 001-99
New GE courses, AH, and SS

It’s easier if you just use the subject area parameter (the year and quarter one is already defaulted to fall quarter 2013, so you don’t need to do anything about that). Also, since you’re looking in the NPB subject area, you won’t find any GE for the AH and SS requirements.

Ok, thanks, that widened the search a lot.
