Question about GPA and difficulty of classes.

Hey guys so right now I'm a sophomore in high school taking really advanced classes. I'll be graduating having taken AP Calc I/II, Differential Equations, and Matrix Theory along with AP Physics I/II. I'll also be taking 5 APs this year (10th grade) and 7 APs in both 11th and 12th grade (thats including the ones I stated above). Also the school I go to makes us do two 2-week courses at a nearby college (FAU) on mechical, chemical, and electrical engineering. I'm thinking I'll be having a 3.3-3.5 GPA (unweighted) and whatever that is weighted (I think 4.4-4.7). Will UF and Georgia Tech consider the fact that my GPA is lower but I've taken classes very few kids do in high school? I'm expecting my SATs to be around 2000-2100.

from the sounds of it you are at a very challenging school taking very challenging courses. both schools have course rigor and gpa listed as “very important” (as do most schools) when factoring admission. NOW, is taking a hit in gpa worth taking so many advanced classes? how much can you really handle? what do you expect to score on cb exams? are you actually interested in all the classes you are taking? take a look at the common data sets for 1st year admissions to git/uf.

for uf: only 1% of matriculates were between 3.25-3.49 gpa
for git: only 4.6%
